Small Huswif Sewing Case

Small size roll up sewing case hand stitched from my own design based on a traditional 19th Century hussif.  Twill tape closure, two pockets for notions and thread and a wool felt patch for needles and pins.  Each one is unique and made from a mix of cotton, linen, silk and wool, all carefully sourced waste textiles.   Hand quilted using cotton thread with cotton or bamboo blend wadding. Choose from plant dyed patchwork, colour blocked linen or an extra special indigo version.

A note on plant dyed fabrics
Plant dyed fabrics are inherently less colour and light fast than their chemical counterparts. The transience of these gently luminous colours is part of their beauty and any gradual fading will not detract from the integrity of the piece. 
 
You can prolong the intensity of your plant dyed pieces by keeping them out of direct sunlight. Should they need washing, hand wash with a gentle detergent in cool water and air dry.
